Welcome to our cottage tour! I'm so glad you stopped by! We have lived in our home for three years now and one of the reasons we were drawn to this particular home was because of the lovely stone work in the front that gives it a unique "cottage" flair! I planted tulips when we first moved in and they popped up last Spring. Flowers are a great way to add cottage charm to any home!
Dining Room: We replaced our builder grade light with this barn light from Ikea. This farm table is from Ashley Furniture. Living Room: If you've read through my recent blog post about tips on furniture placement, you will notice that I love putting my furniture at an angle. Here are a few more examples of how I display furniture in our living room that opens up to our kitchen.
I'm always changing up my coffee table decor as you can see from these pictures. If you come to my house today - I can guarantee it will look different tomorrow! Sources: Sign: Rooms for Rent blog, Tool box: garage sale find; wicker stool: TJ Maxx.
Kitchen: One of the first things that I did when we moved into our home was paint my kitchen cabinets. White kitchens are a great way to bring a clean, cottage look to any space. I added glass inserts to several cabinets and then I added a marble Carrera backsplash as well as replaced pendant lights. Sources: Cabinet paint: SW Shell White, Stools: Pier1, Pendants: Lowe's.

We are blessed to have a guest room in our home which has it's own private bath. This is the room where I usually use to stage the furniture that I sell. If you follow me on IG, you'll notice that I'm constantly moving furniture in and out of here.
I simply change out my pillows and throws as we move through each season.
Our master bedroom is the only room in our home that is painted a dark color. Don't shy away from dark colors as they can really make your furniture pop! Sources: Bed: Ashley Furniture, Coverlet: West Elm, Desk: Goodwill
I painted these cabinets (that were a yellowy oak) and replaced the hardware. Adding fun elements like this wooden tray - help to break up the large counter and display items that guests use such as lotions, cotton balls and water.

We added a patio to our backyard space and just love it! We spend so much time out here in the spring, summer, fall months. Flowers, plants and birdhouses all bring cottage charm to this outdoor space.
Thanks for joining me on my cottage tour! Let me know if you have any comments about sources or styling. Toodles, my friends!
